The Los Angeles Lakers (12-9) brace for a crucial showdown against the Phoenix Suns (12-8) in the In-Season Tournament quarterfinals, with the victor advancing to face the New Orleans Pelicans in Las Vegas.

Remarkably, both teams have undergone substantial roster overhauls in recent years. For the Lakers, only Anthony Davis and LeBron James remain from the 2020 championship squad.

Similarly, Devin Booker is the lone survivor from the 2021 Finals team for the Suns, who have witnessed considerable changes in both player personnel and coaching staff.

In a lighthearted comment ahead of the quarterfinals clash, Davis shared his perspective on the dynamic nature of player movement in the NBA.

It’s times where I see players, and I’m like, I didn’t even know he was on this team,” he expressed with a smile.
