Antonee Robinson carries USMNT form into Fulham return

Antonee Robinson carries USMNT form into Fulham return

Antonee Robinson’s dazzling run of form for club and country continued Monday as Fulham earned a crucial home Premier League victory over Wolves.

Robinson assisted once in Fulham’s 3-2 win at Craven Cottage, logging 90 minutes as Marco Silva’s side moved to 14th in the league standings. The U.S. men’s national team left back scored two goals and registered one assist on November international duty and carried that confidence over to Monday’s match.

Robinson darted down the left wing in possession before sending a dangerous cross into the Wolves box after seven minutes. Alex Iwobi’s composed one-time finish nestled into the back of the net for a 1-0 Fulham lead.

Despite Wolves pegging Fulham back twice in the match, Willian’s 94th minute penalty kick goal sealed a first league win for the Cottagers since Oct. 7.

Robinson won five duels and made six recoveries alongside fellow USMNT teammate, Tim Ream. Ream also played 90 minutes in the heart of Fulham’s defense.

Up next for Fulham is a daunting trip to third-place Liverpool on Sunday, which kicks off an eight-match December schedule across all competitions.
