Apple TV to End MLS Season Pass in 2026

Fans of Major League Soccer (MLS) will no longer require an Apple TV Season Pass to view matches in the upcoming 2026 season. Apple TV has announced that all MLS games will be accessible to viewers who have a standard Apple TV account.

Starting next season, subscribers will be able to enjoy all regular-season games, the Leagues Cup tournament, the MLS All-Star Game, the Campeones Cup, and the playoffs without needing the Season Pass. The Season Pass package will officially be discontinued after the conclusion of the 2025 season.

This decision follows MLS’s move to make the 2025 playoff matches available to all Apple TV subscribers, alongside more than 200 regular-season games, including all Sunday Night Soccer matches. This strategy has contributed to an increase in viewership and supports the league’s recent transition.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber stated in October, “Apple will ultimately decide what the distribution will be. We’re finishing up Year 3 and having it on Apple TV so that it’s distributed to a broader audience during our playoffs I think is a positive. We’ll take a step back with Apple and figure out what the future distribution is.”

MLS is set to join Formula 1 in the Apple TV catalog after it was confirmed that Apple TV secured a five-year exclusive deal to broadcast F1 in the United States beginning in 2026. Additionally, Major League Baseball has partnered with Apple TV to provide subscribers access to Friday Night Baseball at no extra cost.
