Arsenal Eyes Kevin Schade Transfer Amid Competition

Arsenal is actively pursuing the transfer of Kevin Schade, according to a recent update from Christian Falk regarding the Brentford winger’s status.

Initial reports indicated Arsenal’s interest in Schade, but Falk reveals that both Bayern Munich and Chelsea also have their sights set on the 24-year-old.

In his latest column on CF Bayern Insider, Falk noted that while Bayern is observing Schade’s situation, the club may find Brentford’s asking price of around £60 million too steep.

This development may favor other Premier League clubs interested in Schade, who has made a strong impression during his tenure with Brentford.

Details on Schade’s Situation

Falk confirmed, “It is TRUE: Bayern Munich are monitoring Kevin Schade. However, it’s not accurate to say he’s a top priority.” He further mentioned, “Brentford’s asking price may start at €70 million (£60.3 million), which seems excessive. They might realize it’s too high and ultimately won’t receive such an offer.”

He added, “Several rumors are swirling around Brentford, including connections to striker Igor Thiago, but Bayern is not interested in that type of player. They are, however, in the market for someone like Schade.” Falk emphasized that securing Schade at that price would be challenging for Bayern, creating opportunities for Chelsea and Tottenham, the latter of which may also be considering him.

As a German player potentially in contention for the national team, Schade could be a valuable asset for Bayern, particularly with the upcoming World Cup on the horizon. Nonetheless, he is not currently their primary target.

Potential Destinations for Kevin Schade

Schade may be an ideal fit for Arsenal, enhancing their attacking options on the left side alongside Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Similarly, Chelsea could benefit from bringing in Schade, given their need for more reliable attackers compared to their current options like Pedro Neto, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jamie Gittens.

However, it’s worth questioning whether Schade’s valuation of £60 million is justified at this point.

Brentford has previously offloaded several key players, and while that figure is reminiscent of the transfer fee received for Bryan Mbeumo’s move to Manchester United, Schade may not yet be at that level. Nevertheless, his market value could continue to rise if clubs delay their pursuit of him.
