Arsenal set to extend contract offer to Joshua Zirkzee until 2029

Gunners to offer Joshua Zirkzee deal until 2029

It’s no secret that Arsenal need to strengthen their front line with a proven goal scorer this summer.

Kai Havertz has been scoring consistently this season, with two more goals against his former team Chelsea on Tuesday, taking his tally for the 2023/24 campaign to 12 according to WhoScored.

Arsenal are currently the top scorers in the Premier League with 82 goals.

Although Gabriel Jesus contributes to the goal tally when fit, there is a belief that the team lacks a true match-winner like Mo Salah or Erling Haaland.

Joshua Zirkzee, a 22-year-old striker from Bologna, has also scored 12 goals this season as per WhoScored. He is a traditional center-forward, unlike Havertz who plays as an attacking midfielder or secondary striker.

It is expected that Zirkzee would thrive under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, who has helped many players improve in recent seasons.

Arsenal are in talks to sign Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee

According to Tuttosport, Arsenal are in negotiations with Joshua Zirkzee’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, and are prepared to offer the striker a contract until 2029 with an annual salary of €6m.

While the progress of these talks is unclear, reports suggest that Zirkzee is at the top of Arsenal’s transfer wishlist this summer.

The Gunners may face competition from Milan, Aston Villa, Internazionale, and Manchester United, all of whom have shown interest in the player.

Joorabchian’s close ties with Arsenal, as reported by All Football, could give the North London club an advantage in securing Zirkzee’s signature.
