Arsenal have been linked with the move for the Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres in recent months and a report from HITC claims that they will face competition from Manchester United and Chelsea.
Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old attacker as well, but his asking price proved to be a problem for the North London club.
Gyokeres has a €100 million (£85m) release clause in his contract and Sporting CP are unlikely to let him leave for cheap. He has established himself as one of the most exciting attacking prospects in European football this season. The Swedish international has 36 goals and 14 assists in all competitions.
Viktor Gyokeres would be a superb addition
He could transform Arsenal in the final third and help them win major trophies in the coming seasons. He could prove to be an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus who has not been able to score goals consistently.
Similarly, Nicolas Jackson has been quite mediocre for Chelsea and the Blues need a reliable goalscorer in their ranks. The Swedish international has the ability to thrive in the Premier League and the opportunity to join the biggest clubs in the world could be a tempting proposition for him.
Manchester United signed Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta at the start of the season and the Denmark international has done quite well in recent weeks. However, he is quite young and he needs more support in the attack. Another striker to share the goalscoring burden with him would be ideal in the summer and the 25-year-old Sporting CP star would be a major coup.
