Article: Parma eyeing Gianluca Busio for potential summer transfer

Report: Gianluca Busio on Parma's radar for summer move

Gianluca Busio had an outstanding year with Venezia, helping them secure promotion to Serie A. Reports suggest that he is attracting interest from other clubs in Italy for a potential move this season.

According to TuttoMercato, Serie A side Parma is keeping an eye on Busio. The 22-year-old midfielder is entering the final year of his contract, which is set to expire in June 2025.

Busio played a key role in Venezia’s promotion campaign, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 42 appearances. He has been with the club for three seasons since moving from MLS.

Together with American midfielder Tanner Tessmann, Busio formed a strong partnership on the field. Both players have been linked with potential moves away from Venezia this summer, despite their contributions to the team’s success.

Tessmann, who is also in the final year of his contract, has reportedly attracted interest from Inter Milan, Torino, and Bologna.

Busio is currently focused on earning a spot in the U.S. men’s Olympic team for the upcoming summer games. He played a significant role under head coach Marko Mitrovic and will be part of the team competing in Group A against France, New Zealand, and Guinea.
