Badosa & Tsitsipas Hilariously Assess Doubles Debut

Badosa & Tsitsipas Hilariously Assess Doubles Debut

Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas made their mixed doubles debut at the 2023 World Tennis League, and it was a real success.

The two are one of the most popular couples on the ATP and WTA Tours, and for quite some time, the two joked about playing doubles together. That now became reality, as they could prepare for the 2024 season together at the 2023 World Tennis League.

The special exhibition event is a team tournament, and the two got obviously put into team together, along with their good friend Aryna Sabalenka and also Grigor Dimitrov.

In the second tie of the opening day, Paula Badosa and Aryna Sabalenka started with women’s doubles win and after that, it was time for the Spanish player to join forces with her boyfriend.

After she won the match with Sabalenka, if Badosa lost alongside Tsitsipas, it would be easy to find the one to blame for their loss. However, they won the match, and they were in a good mood afterward.

“I mean, I think this was a test, either we get divorced, or this goes better, and better, so that was the test today.”

Since the Spanish player used word “divorced” her partner immediately jumped on it and made fun of the situation, saying that Badosa is “hinting” that she wants to marry.

“You mean break up. I was thinking since when I was married, but apparently, there are some hints there. But it was amazing, it’s a pleasure to be sharing the court.”

The two will have a chance to prove their qualities also in the coming days, as after Aryna Sabalenka bested Mirra Andreeva, their team won the opening tie, and they will be one of the hot candidates to make it to the final of the 2023 World Tennis League.
