Premier League giants Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool are keen on acquiring French defender Castello Lukeba.
The 23-year-old has garnered attention for his exceptional performances with RB Leipzig. A report from Sport Witness suggests that the three clubs have been monitoring his progress and may consider an offer during the summer transfer window.
Extensive Scouting for Castello Lukeba
Scouts have been deployed to follow the defender’s matches, and their assessments have been highly favorable. Lukeba is open to transitioning to the Premier League but seeks the right environment to further his career. He aims to join a team that allows him to compete at a high level consistently.
While Arsenal and Manchester United already possess a strong defensive lineup, Lukeba may not secure a starting role there. Conversely, Liverpool is in need of more depth in their central defense. With Ibrahima Konaté set to become a free agent next summer, they’re looking for a suitable replacement. Although they signed Jeremy Jacquet in January, he is currently sidelined with an injury. Furthermore, Joe Gomez is also expected to leave in the upcoming transfer period. Giovanni Leoni is recovering from a significant knee injury and will require time to regain his form.
Liverpool a Strong Option for Lukeba
Joining Liverpool could provide Lukeba with regular playing time, but it remains uncertain if the Premier League champions can finalize the transfer. This season has not met their expectations, prompting them to aim for a stronger comeback and contend for prominent titles next year. Fortifying their defense by securing one of Europe’s top young defenders would be a prudent choice.
