Bears’ blitz leaves Monsters reeling | TheAHL.com

The Hershey Bears dominated Cleveland in a 6-2 victory on Tuesday, taking a 3-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Cleveland will try to avoid elimination as they host Game 4 on Thursday.

After Cleveland erased a 2-0 deficit, Hershey exploded with three goals in the final 2:46 of the second period. Alex Limoges, Ivan Miroshnichenko, and Joe Snively all found the back of the net during this offensive surge.

Miroshnichenko led the Bears with a goal and two assists, while Snively, Chase Priskie, and Ethen Frank each contributed a goal and an assist.

Goalie Hunter Shepard had a solid night, stopping 27 of 29 shots for Hershey, who also excelled on the power play going 3-for-6 in the game.

Alex Whelan and Trey Fix-Wolansky managed to score for the Monsters, but it was not enough to secure a win on home ice.

Attendance at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse was 14,675.
