One team in the NFL that has a very tough decision to make heading into the NFL offseason is the Chicago Bears, who own the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and have a talented young quarterback in Justin Fields.

With the upcoming draft having some talented quarterbacks, namely Caleb Williams out of the University of Southern California, the Bears could make the move to trade Fields and bring in the USC superstar to start fresh with a new franchise quarterback.

Even though all signs seem to be pointing to the Bears trading Fields and drafting Williams, the team has yet to make their decision or at least to make that decision public, which means the storied franchise could be looking at the quarterback’s trade value.

According to Ari Meirov, Bears general manager Ryan Poles believes that Fields got better this season but wasn’t willing to guarantee that he’d be back in Chicago next season.

At this point in time, there’s no telling what the Bears intend to do with Fields and the No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft, but Chicago is definitely keeping their options open, which might be the smart move for the time being in order to gather some much-needed information.

Only time will tell what the Bears do in this situation, but it’ll likely be assumed that Fields has played his last game for the team, with Chicago focused on bringing in Williams to be the new face of the franchise for the foreseeable future.
