As always, one of the most interesting and best divisions in the NFL in terms of bitter rivals is the NFC East, with no love lost between the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, and New York Giants.
Last season, the Eagles were thought to be the team to beat in the division, but that didn’t turn out to be the case with Philadelphia melting down in the second half of the season resulting in an ugly finish to the season.
It was also a disappointing season for the Commanders, who were finally under new ownership, and the Giants, who had a breakout year in 2022 with head coach Brian Daboll leading the way.
That left the Cowboys to cruise to the division title while also clinching the second seed in the NFC heading into the NFL playoffs, where the team had an epic meltdown while playing host to the upstart Green Bay Packers in the first round.
With each team dealing with its fair share of problems on the field, the favorite for division winner next season seemed to be up in the air, at least until the odds were released, giving the Eagles the nod over the Cowboys, followed by the Commanders and Giants via NBC Sports Bet.
This was always a two-team race after last season with so much talent for both the Eagles and the Cowboys, but it might have been the addition of superstar running back Saquon Barkley that put Philadelphia over the top.
Barkley should give the Eagles offense an entirely different dynamic, which could mean Philadelphia ends up being the team to beat in the division and perhaps the conference.
