The Buffalo Bills wanted to move on from Stefon Diggs and vice versa.
The talented wide receiver had outstayed his welcome in upstate New York, and he didn’t look happy with the organization, either.
Considering that, GM Brandon Beane gave his camp permission to seek a trade to almost every team in the National Football League, with a single — and major — exception.
According to a report by NBC Sports, the Bills would’ve gladly sent Diggs anywhere but the Kansas City Chiefs (via B/R Gridiron).

As petty as that might seem, it actually makes perfect sense.
The Chiefs have become the Bills’ kryptonite and nemesis, taking them down in the playoffs three times during the Josh Allen era already.
Sean McDermott’s team seems to be prepared to go after them in the regular season, but for whatever reason, they can’t seem to get over the hump when they square off in the playoffs.
The Bills have been on the losing end of some instant classics and heartbreaking moments.
That’s why it’s only natural to see that they don’t want to give them any help, especially now that they’re pursuing the very first three-peat in Super Bowl history.
Of course, the Houston Texans are also a big threat in the AFC now, and trading him to the same conference may not have been the wisest decision.
Then again, it seems like they like their chances against anybody not named Patrick Mahomes.
