Bo Nix’s Initial Reaction Upon Being Selected by the Denver Broncos, According to Analyst

Analyst Reveals Bo Nix's First Words When Drafted By Broncos

The Denver Broncos got their guy.

According to Sean Payton, they were always high on Bo Nix, and while they created some smoke about potentially trading up, he was who they wanted all along.

Nix had also talked about how honored he’d be to get an opportunity to play for Coach Payton, and that it’s a dream come true for him.

The former Auburn and Oregon QB has the utmost confidence in his abilities, and he made sure everybody in the organization felt that same way.

That’s why, as soon as he got a chance to talk to them when they took him in the first round, he had a simple question for them: Do you want to win a Super Bowl? (via Zac Stevens).

The Broncos have struggled to find a franchise quarterback since Peyton Manning retired.

Should he beat Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson for the QB1 job — which he’s expected to do — he’d join a long list that also includes Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Case Keenum, Joe Flacco, Drew Lock, Brandon Allen, Jeff Driskel, Brett Rypien, Teddy Bridgewater, Russell Wilson, and Stidham.

Naturally, having 12 different players start at quarterback in a nine-year span is far from ideal, so the Broncos definitely hope to get some sort of continuity here.

Nix drew mixed reviews and results during his collegiate career, but he’s a good athlete with plenty of experience who got better every season, and it’ll be interesting to see if Sean Payton can work his magic with him at Mile High.
