As the NBA trade deadline loomed, speculation swirled around a potential deal involving Bobby Portis and Grant Williams, with the Milwaukee Bucks considering trading Portis for Williams.

Despite the trade rumors, the deal never materialized, and Portis remained with the Bucks as they gear up for the playoffs.

In a candid conversation with NBA insider Shams Charania, Portis expressed his disbelief at the trade rumors involving Williams.

“When I got hints of it, I’m like, ain’t no way I’m getting traded for…excuse my French, that’s my guy, I love competing against him…but I shouldn’t get traded for Grant Williams. That don’t even sound right,” Portis remarked.

Portis has been a valuable contributor for the Bucks this season, averaging 13.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, showcasing his importance to the team.
