Bournemouth still without Tyler Adams due to ongoing back injury

Tyler Adams remains out for Bournemouth due to back injury

Tyler Adams’ frustrating period on the Bournemouth sidelines will unfortunately continue this weekend.

Adams will not be in the squad for Bournemouth’s trip to Arsenal, manager Andoni Iraola confirmed Friday. The U.S. men’s national team midfielder remains unavailable due to a back injury which has kept him out of action since late-March.

The 24-year-old has not featured since excelling in a 2-1 league win over Everton on March 30. He has not dressed in each of the last five Premier League matches.

Adams made his 2024 debut on March 13 for Bournemouth before featuring for the U.S. men’s national team in CONCACAF Nations League action against Jamaica and Mexico.

Bournemouth has three league matches remaining against Arsenal, Brentford, and Chelsea before embarking on a summer preseason tour in the U.S.

Adams’ continued absence is a major worry for USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter, especially with the Copa America tournament on the horizon.
