With quarterback Aaron Rodgers finally back under center for the New York Jets, the 2024 NFL season is expected to be an interesting one for the franchise, with title contention a possibility.

However, the campaign got off to a bit of a rough start, with the Jets falling to the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.

After suffering a Week 1 loss on the road against arguably the best team in the NFL, New York was able to bounce back with a vengeance in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans, coming out with a win on the road.

They then opened NFL Week 3 with a victory against the New England Patriots on “Thursday Night Football” in their home opener.

The Jets were firing on all cylinders, and Rodgers looked like he had turned back the clock while resembling the quarterback who won NFL MVP four times with the Green Bay Packers.

Although the bulk of the attention of opposing defenses is on star wide receiver Garrett Wilson, the Jets have some other stars emerging on offense, like rookie running back Braelon Allen.

The Wisconsin product lasted until the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, where the Jets were able to nab him with the No. 134 overall pick.

The 20-year-old so far has performed well beyond that draft status and recently posted a hilarious response to why he lasted so long.

“Everyone wanted to see me run in my underwear to decide if I was a good football player,” Allen wrote on X.

Allen is undoubtedly referring to the pre-draft process, which includes several athletic tests at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Though he failed to make an impact in Week 1, he burst onto the scene in Week 2 against the Titans with two touchdowns, one on the ground and the other as a receiver.

Even though Allen didn’t score against the Patriots, he gained 68 yards from scrimmage, and it has become apparent he’ll have a significant role alongside Breece Hall in the backfield moving forward.
