Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers has grown into arguably one of the 10 best wide receivers in the NFL over the last few years, and he has become an indispensable part of the 49ers’ success during that time.

He is currently in the midst of a contract dispute — he’s heading into the final year of his current deal, and he has been looking for a lucrative extension from San Francisco.

When he was asked to name his top five wideouts of all time on the “Pivot Podcast,” he named two former 49ers players who many remember well.

His list consists of Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Jerry Rice, Antonio Brown, and Julio Jones.

Of course, most consider Rice to be the greatest wide receiver of all time, and he holds numerous records that may not be broken in our lifetime or perhaps ever.

He won three Super Bowl championships with the Niners, and he was named the MVP of that memorable Super Bowl XXIII when the Niners overcame a late deficit to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals.

Owens looked like he could’ve been the heir apparent to Rice when he emerged in the late 1990s, but attitude issues resulted in the team trading him in 2004.

Moss looked like a clone of Rice in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and he ended up having a stellar career in his own right, even if he didn’t quite match Rice’s accomplishments.

He even spent his final season with San Francisco in 2012, and in a limited role, he helped them reach the Super Bowl.

Brown was an outstanding receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers several years ago and earned a world championship ring with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020.

Jones was a speedy threat in his heyday and helped the Atlanta Falcons reach the Super Bowl in the 2016 season, where they blew a 25-point lead and lost to the New England Patriots.
