Right now, job one for the Dallas Cowboys is to keep quarterback Dak Prescott long-term by getting him signed to a contract extension.

They haven’t made much progress in that regard, and there is now talk that an extension won’t be done and Prescott will go into the 2024 season as an impending free agent.

If that happens, there could be several teams looking to sign him next offseason.

Former star wide receiver Brandon Marshall said he would like to see Prescott sign with the New York Giants in that scenario, per I AM ATHLETE.

The Giants currently have Daniel Jones under center, and last offseason, they seemed content with him despite his anemic production, as they signed him to a lucrative extension.

But he suffered a torn ACL in Week 8 of last season, and now, rumor has it they want to move on from him.

They will have the No. 6 pick in next month’s NFL draft, which has caused people to wonder if they may take University of Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

If New York doesn’t do that, it could open up an alley for Prescott to become a member of their team in a year.

The knock against Prescott is his history of poor performances in the playoffs, and if that continues, perhaps Dallas could decide to go in a different direction if they don’t extend Prescott in the coming months.

On the other hand, if he does join the Giants, the New York media would come down hard on him if he keeps playing poorly come postseason time.
