The Los Angeles Chargers’ Thursday Night Football matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders didn’t exactly go according to plan.

They trailed early, falling behind 21-0 after the first quarter.

Things only got worse from there, as the Chargers eventually fell by a final score of 63-21.

When losing a game in blowout fashion, especially by this wide margin, the head coach is typically looked to, hoping he can provide insight into the team’s lackluster performance.

Brandon Staley was asked those kinds of questions, including some about his future.

In a postgame presser shared via the NFL on CBS, a reporter asked if Staley thought he would be the Chargers’ coach moving forward.

He responded, “I don’t know that,” but later added that he thinks he should be.

When Staley was initially brought in as the Chargers’ head coach, there was widespread excitement.

He was said to be an offensive guru, and his gutsy play-calling was instantly applauded.

However, after a few years of seeing him operate this team, many fans have called for his head throughout the season, looking for a change.

He continues to be on the chopping block, at least in the court of public opinion.

Fans are curious about what’s next for this organization and if Staley will be promptly fired.

With only three more games this season, the team could wait until the end of the year to let him go if they plan to release him.

Has Staley coached his last game as a member of the Chargers’ organization?
