Krka Novo Mesto (Liga Nova KBM) agreed terms with 28-year old American guard Tayler Persons (191cm-94kg-1995, college: Ball State, agency: Players Group) for new 2024-25 season. Persons played last season at MKS Dabrowa Gornicza in Polish OBL league. In 9 Alpe Adria Cup games he had very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 5.8rpg, 7.4apg (leader !!!) and 1.0spg. He helped them to win the cup. Great season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Alpe Adria Cup Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Guard of the Year. Persons also played 34 games in OBL where he recorded also remarkable stats: 16.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 9.4apg and 1.4spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Polish League Honorable Mention.
The most of previous (2022-23) season he spent at Twarde Pierniki (OBL) in Poland. In 11 games he averaged high stats: 17.7ppg, 4.7rpg, 8.3apg and 1.7spg in that year. The other team he played that season for was Chalon/Saor in French ProB. In 8 games he got 6.8ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.1apg in that year.
He is quite experienced player. Persons has played also professionally in Germany (s Oliver Baskets), Holland (ZZ Leiden), Hungary (Szedeak) and The Basketball Tournament (Fort Wayne Champs).
He graduated from Ball State in 2019 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player. Persons played also for Northern Kentucky University for one year.
