KK TFT Skopje (Prva Liga) signed experienced 36-year old Hungarian-American ex-international point guard Darrin Govens (185cm-1988, college: St.Joseph’s) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Govens played last season at Hermine Nantes Atlantique in French ProB. In 27 games he had 10.9ppg, 1.8rpg, 4.0apg and 1.6spg (in top 5). He also played for Atomeromu in Hungarian A Division where in 5 games he recorded 14.0ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.6spg. Govens was a member of Hungarian Senior National Team between 2018 and 2020.
He is quite experienced player. Govens has played also professionally in Belarus (BC Minsk), Greece (AE Kallitheas), Iceland (Thor Thorl), Israel (Kiryat Ata), Russia (BC Pari Nizhny Novgorod), France (Limoges CSP Elite, Cholet Basket and Sluc Nancy), Hungary (Kormend, Zalakeramia ZTE KK, Alba, Szombathely and Debreceni Egyetem) and NBA G League (Stockton Kings). He played in the final of Hungarian League in 2017 and 2018. Govens was voted to Eurobasket.com Hungarian League All-Imports Team back in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
It’s very possible he may end his playing career at KK TFT Skopje.
He graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in 2010 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season as a professional player.
