“I want to bring attention to Manchester United. In the coming hours, at the start of this week, there will be an internal meeting that includes Michael Carrick’s input.”
“This doesn’t mean Carrick will have the final say, but he has kicked off his tenure at Manchester United in exceptional fashion with a win in the Manchester Derby, showcasing great energy and impressive football.”
“Meanwhile, Carrick will be involved in discussions about various decisions, including potential market moves from now until the end of January.”
“If they are considering acquiring a player, it could be for the midfield or other positions, perhaps even a striker. They need to weigh their options in collaboration with Carrick, or continue with their current lineup and save for summer investments.”
Should Manchester United Pursue New Players in January?
United seem to be contemplating a short-term fix this month since securing a major signing may logically align better with a permanent manager in place.
The club has been linked to several midfielders, but it remains unclear if they will take immediate action or carefully evaluate prospects for summer acquisition.
The returns of players from AFCON, coupled with strong performances from Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire, have provided a much-needed boost.
