The San Francisco 49ers have the best offensive weapon in the National Football League right now.
At least, that’s what numbers say, and that’ll continue to be the case until proven otherwise.
Christian McCaffrey is coming off putting together an MVP-caliber season, but with him being a running back instead of a quarterback, his chances of winning the award were quite slim.
He still ran away — both literally and figuratively — with Offensive Player of the Year honors.
But more than that, he also earned recognition from his peers as the top dog in the game right now.
At least, that’s how New York Jets star RB Breece Hall feels.
Recently, the Jets’ young star claimed that McCaffrey has set the standard and is clearly the No. 1 guy in the position at the moment, so he’s looking forward to playing to show where he stacks up against him at the moment (via Around the NFL):
“I feel like right now McCaffrey’s the best in the league. To me, he sets the standard,” Hall said.

Hall is a disruptive running back as well, and he has the potential to be one of the most dominant cowbell backs in the league next season.
The Jets will finally bounce back on offense now that they have a competent offensive line and a future Hall of Famer at quarterback, and that will only do wonders for Hall and his numbers.
As for McCaffrey, he just became the highest-paid running back in the game, and he clearly deserves every penny.
Hopefully, he’ll continue to avoid injury, as that’s the only thing that could hold him back at this point.
