The Green Bay Packers have a big problem on their hands right now.
Despite all the optimism and the reports about Jordan Love’s imminent deal, it hasn’t happened yet.
Love’s camp has reportedly let the organization know that he doesn’t intend to show up until he gets a new contract.
With that in mind, GM Brian Gutekunst stated that these deals take time and that the team is going to great lengths to get a deal done (via 97.3 The Game).

The executive, as usual, claimed that they want Love to be there for the long run, adding that they want to give him and the players some stability.
The Packers, and particularly Gutekunst, believed in Love when no one else did.
From taking him in the first round to giving him a contract extension despite not-so-good early returns and then parting ways with Aaron Rodgers, it’s safe to say that the Packers felt like they had earned some good faith in these negotiations.
Then again, this is a business first and foremost, and it’s not about what you did in the past but about what you can do in the future.
Love is taking a business approach to this situation, and while it might not sit well with some people, this is his livelihood at the end of the day.
He’s pretty much put the Packers against the wall with this decision, and they will have no choice but to cave to his demands sooner rather than later.
