British U20 Men’s Ice Hockey Team Headed to the Netherlands in August – Ice Hockey UK

Great Britain Under-20s Men will travel to Netherlands for an international tournament next month.

The under-20s will take part in the Watersley International Ice Hockey Tournament at the Glanerbrook Ice Rink from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th August.

GB will face the Belgium U20s on Friday 9th August, German DNL side Kölner Haie U20 on Saturday 10th August and Netherlands U20s on Sunday 11th August.

Head Coach, Martin Grubb, said: “It’s great to get the team away for an international tournament as part of our preparations for the international season.

“This, on top of our games against Solway in September, will get some key game-time under our belts.

“Our training camps are always important but to get the team away for a few days and get match action is important.

“There are young players stepping-up this year and it’s important to see how they react in game situations.”
