It is looking like the Denver Broncos are in for yet another dismal season after they fell 26-20 to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday despite leading at halftime.

Rookie quarterback Bo Nix played poorly in his NFL debut, and as usual, Denver’s wide receivers look very underwhelming, as they combined for just 138 yards.

On Tuesday, per Zac Stevens, they held tryouts for four wide receivers: Kaden Davis, Leon Johnson, Lance McCutcheon, and Denzel Mims.

Davis went undrafted in 2022 out of Northwest Missouri State, and he was first signed by the Broncos that spring and ended up being a member of their practice squad that season.

He was a member of the Arizona Cardinals last season but didn’t play, and the Detroit Lions signed him in May, only to waive him two weeks ago.

Leon Johnson played his first four years of college football at George Fox University, a Division III school, before transferring to Oklahoma State University for last season.

He went undrafted and was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers, who waived him about three weeks ago.

McCutcheon is another player who went undrafted out of college, but unlike Davis and Johnson, he does have some NFL experience, having played 10 games for the Los Angeles Rams in 2022.

Mims, a former second-round draft pick, played three seasons for the New York Jets but didn’t appear in a single game last year.

After being traded to the Detroit Lions last summer, he was waived weeks later and spent much of last season as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad.
