The Denver Broncos are in desperate need of a new quarterback.
After moving on from Russell Wilson after two sub-optimal seasons, the Broncos were left with Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci as the only two quarterbacks on their roster.
They did recently trade for Zach Wilson, but all signs indicate that he’s not the team’s long-term answer at the position.
With this in mind, the Broncos are rumored to be in the market for a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, hoping to strike gold with a talented prospect.
Albert Breer recently highlighted the fact that the Broncos have “quietly” done their homework on Bo Nix, citing a Zoom call with him, along with a group from the team that went out to Oregon to check him out further.
The Broncos quietly did a lot of work on Oregon QB Bo Nix—they had an hour-long Zoom with him on March 7, then sent a Sean Payton-led contingent to Eugene to work him out on March 18, per sources.
So interest is there. Fit, too. But not having a 2nd-rounder could complicate it.

However, the Broncos’ first pick in the draft is at the No. 12 selection.
While some have an understanding that this could be a good enough spot to take a quarterback of Nix’s caliber, there is always a chance that he could go earlier.
With several quarterback-needy teams in the league, anything can happen on draft night.
If Nix is truly their target, the Broncos could try to move up a few spots to secure a quarterback who could be their franchise starter for the foreseeable future.
Draft night tends to be filled with chaos, and if the Broncos are able to orchestrate a trade, they’ll certainly add to the drama, which might reinvigorate this roster and fanbase to take a much-needed step forward in 2024.
