Brooke Henderson: A Closer Look at One of Golf’s Rising Stars – National Club Golfer

Brooke Henderson player profile

Who is Brooke Henderson?

Brooke Henderson is the most successful Canadian golfer in LPGA Tour history, and has two major championships to her name.

Born in Ontario, Canada in 1997, Henderson picked up the game from a young age, with her older sister also playing. Following an incredible amateur career, which saw her reach the summit of the World Amateur Golf Rankings and win three professional titles, the Canadian opted not to go through the collegiate route. Instead, she turned professional at the age of 16.

Having already won those three titles as an amateur, Henderson quickly rose up to becoming an LPGA Tour player, claiming her maiden victory at the Cambia Portland Classic in 2015. She then won the first of two major titles – the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship – a year later, becoming the youngest player to ever win the title. She has also won the Amundi Evian Championship, taking the crown in France in 2022.

Henderson has 13 LPGA Tour titles in total, with 2020 being the only year in which she failed to take a victory. Along with her two major victories, the Canadian also has 16 major top-tens, including three runners-up finishes. She has been as high as No 2 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, reaching that spot after her first major victory.
