Bruno Fernandes Makes Premier League History with 100 Chances Created – Latest Updates on Man United Transfers

Bruno Fernandes shines in another stellar display for Man United despite disappointing draw vs. Burnley - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United’s season suffered yet another disappointment this afternoon with Erik ten Hag’s troops limping to a 1-1 draw, at home to relegation favourites Burnley.

Not many United players can hold their heads high after a campaign littered with poor performances but skipper Bruno Fernandes might be one of them.

The Portuguese midfielder continues to be the most creative force in United’s side and reached a notable milestone in today’s game.

Fernandes was behind most of United’s early pressure against Vincent Kompany’s side and created his 100th chance for a teammate this season, in the process.

In doing so, Fernandes became the first player to reach that figure, a fine achievement considering the creative talent in the division.

With teams at the top carving out chance after chance in games, the fact Bruno is first to the milestone, in a poor United team, is testament to his ability.

However, unfortunately for the 29-year-old, his teammates have struggled to match his level of performance and haven’t made the most of the chances he’s offered up.

United remain the lowest scorers in the top half of the Premier League, an issue that has plagued them throughout the season.

Despite his outstanding numbers and near ever-present availability, Fernandes still faces question marks from sections of the media and United fans alike.

Whilst it’s fair to say he can let his emotions get the better of him at times, it’s worrying to think what this United side would look like without him.

Certainly one of United’s best signings in the post-Ferguson era, Fernandes deserves to finish his spell at United with more than just a Carabao Cup to his name.

United are in poor form but do have the chance to end their awful season with a trophy by winning the FA Cup final in May, against neighbours Manchester City.

If they are to add a 13th FA Cup to the club’s illustrious list of honours, you can bank on Bruno playing a key role at Wembley.
