The Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets are living different realities at the moment.

The former boasts the best record in MLB with 44 wins against just 19 losses: only the New York Yankees can match that as of Thursday afternoon.

Philadelphia is full of star-level position players and pitchers, and looks determined to win their first World Series since 2008.

The Mets, on the other hand, are fourth in the NL East with a mediocre 27-35 record.

However, they have managed to win their last three games and might be starting to build some momentum.

The two NL East rivals will be playing against each other in an unfamiliar, yet exciting venue: London.

That’s right, the London Series will take place this weekend, and the Phillies have already landed in England’s capital city.

MLB Europe welcomed Phillies star Bryce Harper, shown in the picture below leaving his plane.

The Phillies and Mets will be playing in London on June 8-9, which is Saturday and Sunday.

After the successful London experience the league had last year with the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals, they are doubling down and bringing in two bitter divisional rivals.

There will be New York and Philadelphia-inspired ballpark food for fans, different entertainment options, and the thrilling experience of Major League Baseball in London.

The league is determined to expand the game beyond its borders, and they have found a home in London.

The hope is that fans can return home after every game wanting more.
