Bubba Watson’s daughter shows off spectacular putting skills

Master Bubba Watson

There are quite a few top professionals who will envy Bubba Watson’s daughter’s clutch putting skills.

The younger Watson showed off her spectacular putting skills during the Masters Par 3 competition.

The Masters Tournament Par-3 Contest takes place at Augusta National Golf Club prior to the Masters Tournament proper.

Sam Snead, three-time Masters winner, won the inaugural Par-3 match conducted ahead of the 1960 tournament.

The competition is held in a single round on a nine-hole, par-27 course in the northeast part of the club’s grounds, which was built in 1958 by George Cobb and Clifford Roberts.

Traditionally, contestants have asked family members to caddy for them, occasionally enabling them to play shots on their behalf like Watson’s daughter has done in the video above.

Nearly 100 aces have been knocked in over the course of the competition’s history.

Snead became the contest’s first repeated winner in 1974, fourteen years after his initial victory. Tom Hoge is the most recent winner, having claimed the event in 2023.

Pádraig Harrington is the only one with three titles, having won his first pair in successive years (2003, 2004), as did Sandy Lyle (1997, 1998). Seven players have won several times; the remaining three in the club are Isao Aoki, Jay Haas, and David Toms.

Jimmy Walker has the course record of 19 (-8), set in 2016, which includes an ace. The contest was decided by a playoff on 21 occasions and ended in a draw twice. Only 14 of the 59 winners (including ties) weren’t American.

No player has ever won the Par 3 contest and gone on to claim the Green Jacket.
