You can’t go anywhere in the NFL without a strong locker room and a strong culture throughout the organization, and the Buffalo Bills have put in the work to foster a culture that prioritizes winning and is based on trust over the last handful of years.

That culture was recently praised by one of the team’s best players who said he is honored to do what he does for the Bills.

Tackle Dion Dawkins joined The Insiders on NFL Network and said “It’s just a blessing that they trust me…to block for Josh’s blind side” and noted that he is hyped to stay with the Bills long-term after signing a 3-year, $60 million contract extension this offseason.

The 3-time Pro Bowl selection was drafted in the second round out of Temple in 2017 and has been the starting left tackle since the beginning of the 2018 season.

He has missed just three games in seven years as well and has blossomed into one of the league’s best left tackles in recent years, making his contract extension a no-brainer for a franchise that is going through a bit of a transitional phase this offseason.

Josh Allen’s blind side protector is one of the most stable and consistent forces on this offense during a time when his receiving unit is uncertain after the team traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans this offseason and allowed Gabe Davis to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.

This is a time when the Bills need to lean on their culture, and they have built one of the best.
