Miami Heat veteran forward Jimmy Butler wanted to repeat last year’s success by sending Tom Thibodeau and the New York Knicks home again. He expressed this desire in a viral video, taking shots at the Knicks, Josh Hart, and Thibodeau, alongside the Celtics.

“If I was playing, Boston would be at home,” said Butler, who missed the Heat’s opening-round playoff loss to the Celtics with a sprained right MCL. “New York damn sure would be f–king at home.”

The interviewer then brought up Josh Hart.

“F–k that mean to me? Josh Hart? C’mon man,” said Butler, a six-time All-Star who played for Thibodeau with the Bulls and Timberwolves. “I love Thibs, but I don’t want Thibs. Thibs, I love you baby, but I want to beat you to a pulp. You want me. I don’t want you. It’s like a one-sided relationship.

“You in love with me and I love you but I’m not in love with you, you know what I’m saying.”
