The Houston Texans have been one of the most impressive stories in the NFL this season, and they have already far surpassed the expectations most had for them.
Coming off a 3-13-1 season, they won seven of their final 10 regular season games to sneak into the playoffs, and they rolled the Cleveland Browns 45-14 in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
They will now face the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round, and while the Ravens are big favorites, Houston should have at least a puncher’s chance of winning.
If they do win, their rookie duo of quarterback C.J. Stroud and head coach DeMeco Ryans will become just the third such rookie duo to advance to a conference championship game, per Fox Sports: NFL.

Stroud has simply been sensational this season, and he finished the schedule with 4,108 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns.
Even better, it appears he has the clutch gene, which is one of the most important qualities one should want in a true franchise QB.
Ryans comes from some good stock, having spent the previous six years with the San Francisco 49ers as an assistant under Kyle Shanahan, and he was Shanahan’s defensive coordinator the past two years while helping them to the NFC Championship Game both years.
Both Stroud and Ryans have been assisted by the emergence of two very good wide receivers in rookie Tank Dell (who is currently injured) and Nico Collins.
Regardless of what happens in their game versus the Ravens, Houston seems to have a very bright future.
