Over the past few years in the NFL, there have been some elite quarterbacks that have emerged who have put on a show on a weekly basis during the season, with Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills being one of those players.

Along with Allen, there are a few other quarterbacks who can be put in that elite superstar category, like Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow, who always seem to be in contention for NFL MVP and have their teams in position to win a Super Bowl title.

Although all four of those players are uniquely gifted, and none of them are like the other, Allen’s sheer size and strength are unmistakable and apparent in person.

One former NFL MVP quarterback who can relate to that kind of description from his playing days is Cam Newton, formerly of the Carolina Panthers, who was blown away by how Allen casually threw the football 80 yards while throwing it away on a broken play.

“He’s got a cannon. He was scrambling and had to throw the ball away,” Newton said. “That MFer threw it 80 yards!”

There’s no doubting Allen’s physical gifts as it could be argued that there’s no other quarterback in the league like him in terms of size and strength, but he still has yet to have notable success in the NFL playoffs, which is almost certainly starting to wear on him and the Bills franchise.

The Bills will be a team to watch once again next season as Allen and company try to live up to expectations during the 2024 campaign, which will be the first season without superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs downfield.
