It is always interesting to hear the words and opinions of a former great quarterback, especially when it comes to a current star quarterback.

Former NFL MVP Cam Newton recently witnessed Green Bay Packers franchise quarterback Jordan Love coming up with his own “unstoppable play” on Bleacher Report and had to respond on his show with which player he thinks is running each route.

For context, Love listed Tyreek Hill, Romeo Doubs, Davante Adams, Travis Kelce, and Josh Jacobs as the skill players in his perfect play.

“It’s a definite coverage identifier…This is typical football knowledge from a quarterback…Every quarterback should know this,” Newton stated on his show 4th & 1.

What Newton did was break down and describe the thoughts of what every good quarterback should be thinking about on this kind of play.

Love listed the aforementioned players and the routes that they could run in an effort to find the end zone.

Newton, who last played for the Carolina Panthers in 2021, has taken the last few years off from football but is still very interested in both the game and what goes on inside the minds of good quarterbacks.

The three-time Pro-Bowler and former Offensive Player of the Year was one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks to ever play.

His 75 career rushing touchdowns are still the most in NFL history for any quarterback.

The former Heisman winner had eight career seasons of 3,000 passing yards and 500 rushing yards in 11 years of playing in the NFL.

He knows what it takes to be a successful NFL quarterback and had a very intriguing take on Love’s play.
