Carlos Alcaraz & Rafael Nadal To Face Off At ‘The Netflix Slam’

Carlos Alcaraz & Rafael Nadal To Face Off At ‘The Netflix Slam’

Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal have planned a special match in 2024, which will be called ‘The Netflix Slam.’

For two decades, there was one man that Spanish fans, and many other fans around the world, followed on the ATP Tour. Rafael Nadal won 22 Grand Slam titles throughout his illustrious career, and exactly at the time when his career is coming to an end, a new prodigy appeared.

Carlos Alcaraz shocked the tennis world multiple times in 2022, most notably when he won the US Open and became the youngest-ever man to become world no. 1.

But with the older Spaniard’s injury-plagued 2023 season, the two got to meet only three times in their careers. Nadal won the first two matches in Madrid and Indian Wells, but the youngster then managed to get his revenge in Madrid and now we know that they’ll meet again.

The 37-year-old is returning to the tennis courts at the Brisbane International in 2024, but it’s not guaranteed that the two will get to meet on the ATP Tour, but one thing is sure, they will meet in an exhibition match.

Netflix is organizing ‘The Netflix Slam’ which will be played at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, United States on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at noon PST / 21:00 CET.

Both players are very excited to take part in the one-off exhibition match, as it may be the first time that they will meet since 2022, provided they don’t get to meet on the ATP Tour in any match before.

“I’m very excited for my first visit to Las Vegas, one of the most iconic and entertaining cities in the world. I’m also very excited to be playing with my fellow countryman Carlos Alcaraz. I am sure it will be a fantastic night of tennis.”

“I’m honored and so happy to be sharing the court with Rafa in Las Vegas. He’s an all-time great, of course, and his records and achievements speak for themselves. Rafa also is one of the nicest guys on Tour and I look forward to our match on March 3.”

Ticket prices will start at $88 and fans will be able to buy them already on Friday, December 15, 2023.
