Cavaliers Take 1-0 Lead Against Magic With 30-Point Performance by Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Cleveland Cavaliers (4-seed) in their 97-83 victory over the Orlando Magic (5-seed) in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference playoff series.

Mitchell had a stellar performance, scoring 30 points and providing a crucial offensive spark for Cleveland. Jarrett Allen’s dominant rebounding with 18 boards also played a key role in the win.

Alongside Allen, Evan Mobley recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Darius Garland chipped in with 14 points and eight assists.

Despite facing injuries earlier in the season, Mitchell displayed his resilience and talent, solidifying his position as a cornerstone of the Cavaliers’ lineup.

Orlando’s Paolo Banchero put up a strong effort with 24 points, but the Magic struggled to find their groove against Cleveland’s tough defense, which held them to just 33% shooting from the field.

Banchero received support from Franz Wagner (18 points, 7 rebounds) and Jalen Suggs (13 points) in the losing effort.
