The Los Angeles Chargers continue to steal away former Baltimore Ravens players.

Just recently, the team signed previously-retired player and former safety Tony Jefferson out of retirement.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jefferson joins the list of GM Joe Hortiz, offensive coordinator Greg Roman, running backs Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins, tight end Hayden Hurst, offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman, and fullback Ben Mason as former Ravens personnel to join the Chargers.

Jefferson retired after spending time with the New York Giants in 2022.

He went undrafted out Oklahoma back in 2013.

However, the Arizona Cardinals took a chance on him and gave him the opportunity to play four years with the team (2013-2016).

Then, he joined the Ravens on multiple stops (2017-2019, 2021), as well as the San Francisco 49ers (2021).

Jefferson will join a loaded Chargers defense that includes the likes of All-Pro edge-rusher Khalil Mack, All-Pro edge-rusher Joey Bosa, former Pro Bowl linebacker Denzel Perryman, All-Pro safety Derwin James, and starting cornerback Asante Samuel Jr.

He brings nearly 500 career tackles to the table, as well as 34 tackles for loss and 24 pass deflections.

It would be a surprise if he played plenty of starting snaps given his age and time away from football.

The 32-year-old, at the very least, should provide great depth at safety and on special teams.

Jefferson has never won the Super Bowl, and he has made the playoffs just once in the last five calendar years.

Perhaps joining another Harbaugh brother could turn the tide in his career.
