After parting ways with Brandon Staley during the regular season, the Los Angeles Chargers were tasked with finding a new head coach after the team was crushed by the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, who scored 63 points.
With so much money invested in superstar quarterback Justin Herbert and the team being fairly stacked with talent on both sides of the football, Los Angeles couldn’t mess this up while they had a great opportunity to bring in former University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Last week, the Chargers got their man, with the team agreeing to terms with Harbaugh to be Staley’s successor in Los Angeles, but the job wasn’t done for the team’s front office as they needed a new general manager after parting ways with Tom Telesco.
It appears the team might’ve been waiting for the Baltimore Ravens’ season to come to an end, with the team wanting to hire Joe Hortiz as general manager, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

With Harbaugh and Hortiz in the fold in Los Angeles, the Chargers can start to build a game plan for the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft and free agency, which will be crucial to the team’s success moving forward.
Fortunately for the Chargers, Harbaugh has had nothing but success wherever he’s gone, from the college game to the NFL level, which bodes well for this team having a great offseason and coming back much stronger next season while potentially being able to live up to expectations that will be high moving forward.
