The Los Angeles Chargers are entering a new era with Jim Harbaugh returning to the NFL as their head coach.

The organization also has officially opened up its new training facility.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it is called “The Bolt” and it spreads over 150,000 square feet.

As Schefter notes, the new facility is located in El Segundo, California, and sits on 14 acres.

The team recently released a video on social media introducing “The Bolt” to the world.

The facility contains meeting rooms, recovery areas, lounges, cafeterias and many more features.

The Chargers have been around since the 1960s and have played in multiple locations.

They started in Los Angeles but later moved to San Diego, which is where they stayed for over five decades.

However, in 2017, they moved back to Los Angeles.

After eight years of transitioning between stadiums, headquarters and overall personnel since they moved back to L.A., it finally feels like the Chargers are ready to roll.

They have won just one playoff game in the past decade. In fact, the last time they won a postseason game was back with Philip Rivers at quarterback in 2018.

That needs to change, and that is why Harbaugh was brought in to boost the franchise.

Remember, Harbaugh, who is coming off a national championship at Michigan, is still searching for his first Super Bowl ring.

Time will tell if the new facility has a positive effect on the team or not.
