Suns and Sixers legend Charles Barkley expressed his hope for LeBron James to retire soon, drawing from his own experience and stating that he disliked the way he retired.

He emphasized the struggle of accepting when one’s prime has passed and expressed his desire not to witness great players performing past their peak.

“I hope he retires soon because I hated the way I retired… Your ego says you can still do it… I don’t want to see any great players play when they’re past their prime.”
