For the first time all year, it seems like the Kansas City Chiefs will finally catch a break.
As pointed out by NFL insider Ari Meirov, all of their four games remaining will come against backup quarterbacks.
They’re set to square off vs. Bailey Zappe and the New England Patriots, followed by Aidan O’Connell and the Las Vegas Raiders, Jake Browning and the Cincinnati Bengals, and Easton Stick and the Los Angeles Chargers.
The #Chiefs last four games of the season will all be against backup quarterbacks:

We know things are not a given, and they’ll still have two divisional games, not to mention the game vs. the Bengals, which is a rivalry game against a team that knows them pretty well.
Even so, on paper, they shouldn’t find that much trouble getting past them and win, at worst, three out of these four games.
Despite their recent struggles, the Chiefs are still the best team in the AFC West, at least record-wise.
They could finish the season with at least 11 wins and make the playoffs as divisional champions, but there are still some major concerns about them.
This is far from the same team that won the Super Bowl just one year ago.
Drops, miscues, and growing frustration have hurt the Chiefs throughout the course of the entire season, and given that we’re talking about a personnel-related issue, they might not be able to do anything to change that at this point in the campaign.
Then again, it’s never wise to put your money against Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, especially if they’re playing against backups.
