After Jason Kelce locked up his future as an analyst for ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” coverage, his younger brother in Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce locked up his own future.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the star tight end agreed to a new two-year extension with the Chiefs that will now make him the highest-paid tight end in the league.

In all likelihood, this extension should ensure that Kelce will remain in Kansas City for the rest of his storied career.

The 34-year-old is already arguably the greatest tight end in NFL history and clearly still has plenty left in the tank.

The nine-time Pro-Bowler and NFL All-Decade performer holds multiple NFL records, including postseason receptions (165), 1,000-yard seasons by a tight end (7), and career games with 100+ receiving yards by a tight end (37).

There isn’t a more productive pass-catcher at that position in the history of the league.

Despite not having a 1,000-yard season for the first time since 2015, the former Cincinnati Bearcat still caught 93 passes in 2023, which is absurd.

He and quarterback Patrick Mahomes are not just the best duo in the sport.

They are arguably the best duo in the history of the sport.

There is a reason that they have brought three Super Bowls to Kansas City and are on the cusp of a three-peat.

Look forward to hearing Kelce’s name being called to the stage in Canton, Ohio in just a matter of years.

For now, he still has another Super Bowl or two to chase.
