Anthony Richardson showed a ton of promise as a rookie in his brief time on the field before going down for the season with a shoulder injury, and the young star has spent the entire offseason rehabbing in order to be ready for his sophomore campaign.
Fans haven’t received a ton of updates, but Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard has finally provided an update on Richardson’s status for training camp.
Ballard said that Richardson will be full-go in training camp with no restrictions even though he caused some concerns when it was announced that he had experienced some shoulder soreness during OTAs.

Ballard said during an appearance on The GM Shuffle podcast. “He was full-go all the way up until the last day of OTAs, and we had two heavy throwing sessions the two days before, and so we backed off a little on the last day.”
Richardson played in four games as a rookie, but only finished two due to injury, and put up three passing touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns with just one interception in that time frame.
The Colts offense was never at full strength last season with Richardson’s injury and Jonathan Taylor’s holdout, but both are now back and ready to go.
The team also brought Michael Pittman back in free agency and drafted Adonai Mitchell to round out the wide receiver corps, so Richardson will have plenty of weapons at his disposal if he can stay on the field.
Hopefully, the football gods can bless this man’s shoulder because this could be one of the most fun offenses in the NFL.
