Chris Broussard Gives 1 NFL Team An “F” For Offseason Grade

Over the last few seasons, the Dallas Cowboys have been one of the NFL’s most talented teams, but they have nothing to show for it.

They have won 12 regular-season games in each of the last three years, only to exit early in the playoffs each time — in fact, they haven’t gotten to the NFC Championship Game since the 1995 campaign.

A lot of the resulting criticism has been put on quarterback Dak Prescott, who has a history of poor playoff performances, and he will be entering the final year of his contract.

On top of that, they have lost a number of key people, which led Chris Broussard to give them an “F” grade for the offseason they have had so far while on FS1’s “First Things First.”

Dallas has lost multiple starting offensive linemen, their former starting running back in Tony Pollard, and defensive end Dorance Armstrong Jr. without getting adequate replacements.

In addition, Dan Quinn, their defensive coordinator for the last three years, is now the Washington Commanders’ head coach.

Even worse, star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is looking for a contract extension, and Broussard said there is talk he may hold out until he gets one.

Then there is the matter of Prescott’s own contract situation.

Negotiations for an extension haven’t made any progress, and there is a real chance he could enter the 2024 season without one in place.

If that’s the case, 2024 always has the chance of being his last year with the Cowboys, depending on what transpires between now and this winter.
