Chris Broussard Makes Bold Statement About Brock Purdy’s ‘Ceiling’

In only his second season with the San Francisco 49ers as the team’s starting quarterback, Brock Purdy has led the team to the Super Bowl after a second straight appearance in the NFC Championship Game.

If it weren’t for suffering a season-ending injury in last year’s NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Purdy could be playing in his second Super Bowl on February 11.

Needless to say, Purdy has far exceeded expectations as a player who was taken with the last pick in the NFL Draft two years ago and dubbed Mr. Irrelevant as a result.

With Purdy leading the 49ers to the Super Bowl and being in the conversation for NFL MVP, Chris Broussard of FOX Sports believes that his ceiling is being a Hall of Famer when it’s all said and done, via “First Things First.”

The direct comparison that keeps coming up from Broussard is one-time Super Bowl champion and New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees, which seems to be right on the money at this point in his career.

Fortunately for Purdy, he can continue to add to his legacy with a Super Bowl title this season or by being able to continue producing as the 49ers starting quarterback for years to come, even if the team falls short against the Chiefs next week.

Purdy still has a long way to go in his career and can really make a name for himself with some sustained success while shedding himself of all the doubters out there who still don’t believe in him.
