The Tennessee Titans are going to look vastly different during the 2024 NFL season as they bring in a new head coach in Brian Callahan as well as a revamped roster meant to fit modern offenses.

Tennessee was a run-heavy team under former head coach Mike Vrabel, but with Callahan on board it seems a shift in philosophy is coming.

The Titans will roll out Will Levis as their new starting quarterback, and he’ll have a revamped received corps featuring Calvin Ridley.

Tennessee’s backfield also underwent a makeover as they parted ways with longtime stalwart Derrick Henry and brought in Tony Pollard as his replacement.

Henry will go down as one of the greatest players in Titans history, though he did well for himself to land with the Baltimore Ravens in free agency.

Fellow Tennessee running back Chris Johnson spoke about Henry’s departure and compared it to his own via The Music City Audible.

“Derrick Henry’s departure reminded me of my own,” Johnson said. “We changed coaches and we’re not going to be run-heavy anymore. Derrick Henry doesn’t really help you in the passing game.”

Henry is arguably the best early-down running back in the league because his size, strength and physicality make him so hard to tackle.

He’s also got game-breaking speed if a lane opens up, but it seems like the Titans will prefer to throw the football more in 2024.

It’s unfortunate that Henry and the Titans were unable to win together, though both sides seem to be on good terms.
