Chris Simms Expresses Interest in Monitoring Destination of WR Prospect

With the 2024 NFL Draft just hours away, it’s officially time to put mock drafts together.

As happens every single year, there’s not much of a consensus after the top three, and pretty much anything could happen at this point.

That’s why NFL analyst Chris Simms is intrigued to see who’s going to get their hands on Rome Odunze.

He took to Twitter to report that, while he thinks of him as a top-10 selection, others believe he’s more of a 15-20 kind of guy.

He adds that if he gets past the Chicago Bears at No. 9, it would be interesting to see whether the Buffalo Bills would be interested in trading up.

The Bills don’t have a clear-cut WR1 after trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, so that could make sense.

As of now, the Washington product is projected to be the third wide receiver off the board behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers, although there’s not that much of a gap there.

If there are no trades — which isn’t likely to happen — the Arizona Cardinals could get Harrison, with the Los Angeles Chargers or New York Giants getting Nabers, leaving the door wide open for the Bears to land Odunze at No. 9.

Then again, with as many as three teams reportedly looking to climb their way into the top five, the quarterback frenzy could shake everything up in the first round, and that could cause all three top-notch wide receivers to slip and fall into a fortunate team’s lap.
